The City of Ottawa has many museums to offer. Perhaps lesser known is the gem of a museum in Nepean, called Fairfields House. Now at 175 years old, it is a rare find in any city - a home that shows how Ottawa has changed over the years. The property was once housed on over 200 acres, now only on 2. The Bell family had 5 generations occupy the house, and finally it was willed to the then city of Nepean. Thank you to the Nepean Museum for the wonderful storytelling, crafts, and hospitality. A wonderful outing!
Inventing games.
I tapes three shapes to the floor in relatively close proximity. The task was for them to invent a game using all or any of the shapes, and whatever else they wanted. Between EM and TM, a fun game followed. It is lava outside of the shapes, so one must jump from one to the other. The rulers are "bridges" to help you get across the long part. But be careful.....the coloured rulers must not be touched!
